Pet & Dog Turf
Pet Turf & Dog-Friendly Artificial Grass in Tucson
A clean, green yard your dogs can run on year-round. No mud, no brown spots, no muddy paws in the house.
Turf built for dogs, not just for looks
Regular artificial grass and pet turf are not the same thing. Pet turf uses a faster-draining backing and a specific infill that controls odor, so it actually holds up to dogs in the Tucson heat. We install it over a drainage base built to move liquid through quickly and keep the surface clean.
The result is a lawn that stays green through summer, rinses clean in minutes, and gives your dogs a soft, safe place to play without the mud, foxtails, and brown patches of a natural yard.
Fast-draining backing
Pet-grade turf uses a fully permeable or heavily perforated backing so urine drains straight through instead of sitting on top.
Antimicrobial infill
We brush in zeolite infill that traps ammonia and controls odor between rinses, so the lawn stays fresh even with multiple dogs.
Durable, dig-resistant
Properly anchored turf over a compacted base stands up to running, digging, and zoomies far better than natural grass.
Cooler, safer surface
Heat-rated turf plus a quick rinse keeps paws comfortable. No fertilizer, pesticides, or muddy paws tracked inside.

Pet Turf FAQs
Questions About Dog-Friendly Turf
Is artificial grass safe for dogs?
Yes. Pet-grade turf is non-toxic and lead-free, and the antimicrobial infill is designed for animals. There is no fertilizer or pesticide like a natural lawn, and no mud or grass stains.
Does pet turf smell?
Not when it is installed right. The key is a fast-draining backing, a proper drainage base, and antimicrobial infill. Urine drains through and a periodic rinse keeps it fresh. Cheap turf with poor drainage is what causes odor.
How do you clean pet turf?
Solid waste gets picked up like normal, and you hose down the area periodically. For multiple dogs, an occasional enzyme cleaner keeps it spotless. It is far less work than scooping a muddy lawn.
Will my dog dig it up?
Turf is anchored at the edges and seams over a compacted base, so it holds up to digging much better than sod. Most dogs lose interest once there is no loose dirt to get at.
Does pet turf get too hot for paws?
In peak summer sun any surface heats up. We use heat-rated turf, and a quick rinse cools it fast. Shaded layouts and lighter infill help too.
